| September 2002 VPIsystems new business division. VPIsystems has established a new business division, VPIphotonics to advance Photonic Design Automation (PDA) software and solutions for optical component, system and equipment vendors. VPIsystems CEO Kay Iversen says VPIphotonics will focus the substantial PDA expertise and resources inside VPIsystems on the growing needs of the vendor community. "To achieve this, the new division will expand applications relevance from the exchange of virtual prototypes by R&D experts, to widespread use of prototypes, design rules and real world scenarios to support the deployment of photonic equipment in the legacy infrastructure." |
